Formed on 18th June, 1993, the company was first registered as Residence Hotel Management to provide the hotel industry with much needed management services. In keeping up with this dynamic development, there has been an increase in the demand for experienced professionals to manage and promote new hotels.

RHM then made a name change in 2001 to Residence Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd (RHR), to expand more in-depth in the tourism industry, that includes Specialty Restaurants, Health & Spa Beauty Treatment and  Total Building Maintenance Services. On the International front, RHR is registered as Residence International Hotels Management Ltd.

Residence® Hotels & Resorts' expertise lies in the Management and Operation of Hotels and Resorts to that of International standards and in keeping abreast with the dynamic developments and demands of Tourism industry, RHR diversified its business to include Specialty Restaurants, Total Building Maintenance Services and Traditional Herbal Treatment Centre & Spa.

The Directors of RHR are of different disciplines with a diversity of experience ranging from Travel, Architecture, and Interior Design to Hotel Management.
